Summary
Browse does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. The app does not require an account and does not connect to AppFactory servers.
Local preferences
Browse stores only preferences on your Mac, including menu bar display mode, monochrome icon preference, and launch-at-login state. These settings use standard local macOS storage.
Installed browser detection
Browse asks macOS for the applications installed on your Mac that can open web links. This is required to show browser choices. The browser list remains on your device and is not transmitted.
Changing the default browser
Browse uses the public macOS default-application API. macOS controls the confirmation prompt and the final system setting. Browse does not bypass operating-system security.
Analytics, advertising, and logging
Browse does not include analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, network requests, third-party servers, or remote logging.
